McDavid, Hyman Lead Charge Against Senators

The Edmonton Oilers extended their winning streak to seven games Saturday night with a 3-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Zach Hyman led the way for the Oilers, scoring all three of their goals, including an empty-netter in the final minute. Connor McDavid also had a strong game, recording three assists, including one on Hyman's first goal.

The Oilers got off to a good start, scoring twice in the first period. Hyman opened the scoring with a power-play goal just over five minutes into the game. McDavid assisted on the goal, extending his point streak to 11 games. The Oilers made it 2-0 later in the period when Hyman scored his second goal of the game, this time on a breakaway. Tyson Barrie had the assist on the goal.

The Senators came out strong in the second period and managed to cut the Oilers' lead to 2-1. Thomas Chabot scored the lone goal for the Senators, assisted by Tim Stutzle. The Oilers were able to weather the storm in the second period and take a 2-1 lead into the third period.

The Oilers put the game away in the third period when Hyman scored his third goal of the game into an empty net. McDavid assisted on the goal, giving him four points for the game. The Oilers' win was their seventh straight and their 11th in their last 12 games.
